Our policies and terms of service
1. Consultation & Quoting
Discovery Call: All projects start with a complimentary discovery call or consultation to ensure we're a good fit and to fully understand your project requirements.
Proposals: Following the consultation, you will receive a detailed project proposal outlining the scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and a fixed price for the agreed services.
Validity: All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After which they are subject to change.

2. Payment Terms
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total project cost is required before any work can begin. This secures your project in my schedule and covers the initial stages of work.
Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is due upon your approval of the final designs, and before the final files are delivered.
Payment Methods: Payments can be made via Bank Transfer. Details will be provided on your invoice.
Late Payments: In accordance with The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, a late fee may be added to invoices not paid within the specified timeframe. Full details will be on the invoice.

3. The Design Process
Client Responsibilities: To ensure the project runs smoothly and on time, you agree to provide all necessary information, content (text, images), and feedback in a timely manner. Delays in providing this may result in the project timeline being extended.
Revisions: Each package includes up to three rounds of minor revisions to the chosen design concept. This includes adjustments to colour, typography, or element placement.
Scope Creep: Any additional work, major changes, or new concepts requested outside of the original scope (e.g., requesting a completely new logo concept after one has been approved) will be considered "scope creep." This additional work will be quoted separately and charged at my standard hourly rate of £20/hour.

4. Timelines & Communication
Timelines: A project timeline will be provided in your proposal. This is an estimate and is dependent on timely feedback and communication from you. Any revisions on the timeline will be clearly communicated with you ASAP.
Communication: Email is the preferred method of communication to keep a clear record of all discussions. I will respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Client: If you choose to cancel the project, please be aware that the 50% deposit is non-refundable. It covers the work and time already invested in your project. If cancellation occurs after the project is more than 50% complete, you will be invoiced for the work completed to date.
Cancellation by Designer: In the unlikely event that I am unable to complete the project, I will notify you immediately and issue a full refund of any payments made.

6. File Delivery & Ownership
Final Files: Once the final balance is paid, you will receive a link to a secure folder containing all of your final files. File types typically include JPG, PNG, EPS, and PDF formats suitable for web and print use.
Copyright & Ownership: Upon receipt of the final payment, you will own the full copyright to the final, approved design.
Portfolio Rights: I retain the right to display all work created for you in my online portfolio, on social media, and in other marketing materials for self-promotional purposes.
Unused Concepts: All preliminary concepts, sketches, and unused designs that were not chosen by you remain the intellectual property of Bump Up Branding.

7. General Terms
Proofreading: You are responsible for proofreading and approving all final text for any print or digital materials. I am not responsible for any spelling or grammatical errors after the final design has been approved.
Printing: My role is to provide the print-ready digital files. I am not responsible for the quality of the final printed outcome or any printing errors.
Third-Party Assets: If your project requires the purchase of licensed fonts or stock imagery, the cost will be added to your final invoice. This will always be discussed and agreed upon with you first.
